MBABANE: Incarcerated pro- Member of Parliament (MP) Bacede Mabuza said he will never run away from political persecution and will die in the country.
This is contained in videos produced by by the State as evidence on Wednesday during the ongoing trial against pro-democracy MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube who are accused of terrorism.
The videos were aired on Swaziland News on or around June 2021, the Hosea MP said he was ready to be victimized for being a true servant of the people and would not skip the country.
“I will not run away from this country. When I die, I will die here.Anyone who wants me or is looking for me will find me in my house. What I am speaking in front of God and infront of everyone I will always stand by it.So I will not run away from anyone who will want to kill us, kidnap us\", said the pro-democracy MP.
MP Bacede Mabuza was arrested together MP Mthandeni Dube merely for demanding democratic reforms after an order allegedly after an order allegedly issued by King Mswati.
