Vehicle belonging to the State controlled Times of eSwatini burnt.

MBABANE: A vehicle belonging to the State controlled Times of eSwatini was on Tuesday morning burnt by unknown people.

It is alleged that armed men stopped the vehicle and ordered the driver to come out before setting it alight.

The Times has confirmed in an online post that their car was burnt by unknown people.

“Times car burnt. Unknown arsonists burnt a delivery vehicle belonging to the Times of Eswatini this morning around Luve. The armed men first threatened the driver with a firearm prior to forcing him out of the car and torching the vehicle. May we send a sincere apology to our readers who have not received the newspaper due to this unfortunate incident”, read a Facebook post published by the newspaper.

The pro-Tinkhundla newspaper has its offices situated in Mbabane, Nhlangano and Manzini among others.
