LOBAMBA: Manzini North Member of Parliament(MP) came hard on Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg for announcing the 36% Pay as You Earn(PAYE)increase.

Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, the Manzini North MP said members of the public were strongly against the increase of the tax and urged the Minister to consider other possible ways of generating revenue.

“I hope the Minister is aware that people are strongly against the  increase of the tax, maybe the Minister was just testing the reaction, this will not happen”, said the Manzini North MP.

The Honourable MP further demanded that the Minister categorically and state how the 9000 jobs would be created as stated in his budget speech.
