MBABANE: Richard Vilane, the Hosea Indvuna yeNkhundla who was critical of King Mswati’s regime has been paid R100,000.00 by the Tinkhundla system through the Youth Fund, he now sings praises to the Government.
Vilane, the Director of VNR Investments who fled his home after being persecuted by the police for allegedly supporting and organizing protests within Hosea Constituency, is now being paraded by Government as one of the beneficiaries of the Youth Fund, he confirmed receiving the money in a video posted by Government online.
“I am very grateful for what the Government has done for me after my business was affected by COVID-19. I applied for financial assistance with the Youth Fund in 2021 and I was paid R100,000.00 last year”, said the Indvuna yeNkhundla.
Vilane has been vocal in the media demanding the release of Hosea pro-democracy Member of Parliament(MP) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube, however, he later became scarce in the public eye after receiving the money.
