MBABANE:Swazi Plaza Properties has condemned any acts of harassment to their shoppers and they heavily condemned the behaviour of police officers who were harassing their customers.
This comes after the Swaziland Action Group Against Abuse (SWAGAA) organised a march to the Swazi Plaza Police Post on Friday in protest against police harassment.
The police allegedly harassed a woman who was wearing a short jumpsuit claiming she was inviting rapists.
In a statement released on Friday Afternoon, the Swazi Plaza Properties Management condemned the conduct of the police adding that they were investigating the matter.
“ Swazi Plaza Properties does not condone any acts of harassment to her shoppers. We wish to distance ourselves from the circulating allegations of human rights violations on social media. A full investigation to the circulating acts of Gender Based Violence at the Plaza s Police Post is underway for us to establish the facts and corrective measures shall be restored,” reads the statement in part.
