MBABANE: The Commander of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) said the ongoing operation against police officers is meant to restore the dignity of the Swazi people and the struggle.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, shortly after conducting an operation at the Mbabane Police Camp where cars were burnt, the Commander said police in the country were killing people knowing that nothing will happen to them.

As a result, he said as the Solidarity Forces, they would work towards restoring the dignity of the Swazis.

He said upon arrival at the Mbabane Police Camp for the operation, a police van emerged from the City Centre direction and they fired shots.

The Commander said while firing shots, the police officers fired back and then ran away.

“I have given an instruction to the members of the solidarity forces that if they find two police officers walking together on the streets or roadblocks, they must just shoot them. Those police officers who claim they are not participating in the ongoing killing of civilians should demonstrate by giving us the names and pictures of those who killed civilians, otherwise we will continue targeting any police officer”, he said.

The Commander said they have realized that the police were torturing and killing people knowing that nothing would happen to them.

“We want to end the culture of impunity where the police kill, assault and shoot people knowing that nothing will happen to them”, said the Commander.

The name of the Commander is known only by this editor due to the sensitivity the matter. He said his name would only be known on freedom day adding that for now, he was busy organizing and strengthening the Solidarity Forces to hit more targets.
