MATSAPHA: A little known Swazi who is active in the struggle for democracy has established a new underground force,in the early hours on Tuesday, they burnt a Government truck at Gwamile Voctim.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, the political activist said for now they are a team of two men with only one woman who is assisting them.
“I am affiliated to a political party but I decided to recruit only one man so we can do the job because we don’t want the information to leak, even the Executive of my party don’t know that we are doing this. For now, we have one woman who is supporting us and that woman doesn’t need publicity but democracy. It is for reason we decided to contact one journalist and that is you to publish our activities, we don’t contact many people to stay protected. We have just petrol bombed a Government truck and buses at Gwamile Voctim”, said the political activist.
The three members of the new underground forces are known by the editor of this publication but cannot he revealed for ethical reasons .
The new team of underground forces come after the establishment of the pro-democracy Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) that petrol bombed various structures and attacked Mswati’s loyalists including police officers who allegedly killed civilians.
Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
But a senior Government official confirmed the burning of a Government truck at the Gwamile Voctim.
“They petrol bombed one truck and the buses did not catch the fire,” said the Government official.
The ongoing petrol bombings come after Mswati unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians during the political unrest in June 2021, since then, the country has been facing a political crisis.
A government truck was burnt by underground forces.
