MBABANE: Dr Siphetfo Dlamini, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) says King Mswati tried to force Swazis to fear him but the people have overcome the fear and are now mocking him.
Speaking during a live discussion hosted by the Swazi Lives Matter on Twitter, Dr Dlamini said the King made a mistake to rule through fear instead of respect.
“Mswati is now a laughing stock, every Swazi is using any name to mock him because the people have overcame the fear”, he said.
The SWALIMO Secretary General further mentioned that Swazis will continue to host cultural activities without Mswati adding that culture belonged to the people.
Efforts to reach Lusendvo Fakudze,the Ludzidzini Governor proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report, his phone rang unanswered.
On another note, Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) said the Monarchy has been oppressing the people even before independence adding that at some point, royalty colluded with colonialists to oppress the people. He urged the people to continue disrespecting Mswati until he realizes that he is no longer wanted in power.
