MBABANE:Magistrate Sindisiwe Zwane says she is receiving death threats after this Swaziland News published an article alleging that she threatened to jail Students Union President Colani Khulekani Maseko for demanding democracy.
Speaking to this publication on Tuesday, the Magistrate said her life was now under serious threat despite that she mentioned that she never threatened to jail Colani Maseko.
“As I told you on Sunday when you called me,I suggested that you must consult Colani and he must tell you the truth as to what really happened.The truth is with them they know, unfortunately, I am where I am because of that. BoMbhamali(lawyer) when I spoke to him, he told me many stories, I think ngibo Nkhosi lokumele ukhulume nabo bakhone kukhokha leliciniso. Kuncono kutsi intfo ikhulumeke ngemaciniso. The attorney must not mislead you, umuntfu nakonile wonile, umuntfu intfo nakangakayenti akayenti”,said the Magistrate.
On another note, the newly appointed female Commander of the Ground Forces told this publication that she would deal with the Magistrate for threatening the Students Union President.
Reached for comments, Students President Colani Maseko maintained that the Magistrate threatened him with jail, this was also confirmed by Maseko’s lawyer Mathokoza Mbhamali.
“Waze washo watsi ngenta intfo lencane utangibuyisela back estokisini(meaning: she even said once I commit a minor offence, she will send me back to jail”,said the Students Union President.
