SITEKI:Mswati’s police allegedly grabbed cellphones belonging to the People’s United Democratic Movement's (PUDEMO)International Relations Officer Siboniso Mkhabela on Friday.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, Wandile Dludlu, the PUDEMO's Secretary General confirmed the matter adding that the cellphones were grabbed by the police when they were preparing for a Multi-Stakeholder activity at Siteki.
“Yes it's true, they grabbed his two cellphones while they were just preparing for an activity at Siteki", he said.
Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati had not responded to our questions at the time of compiling this report.
The confiscation of the PUDEMO's influential leader comes shortly after a series of protests in demand for democratic reforms at Lomahasha where he is a community organizer.
