SIPHOFANENI: Nomalungelo ‘LaZwide’ Simelane, the wife to former Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP)now President of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) Mduduzi ‘'Magawugawu’ Simelane has promised to stand with the people in their fight for democracy.
LaZwide as affectionately known,is currently in an elections race to replace her husband as the Siphofaneni MP who ousted by Mswati’s regime merely for demanding democratic reforms.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday, Simelane said if elected into Parliament, she would make sure that those who were massacred by King Mswati’s forces receive justice .
“As a woman, Im always in pain when I think of the blood of the innocent souls that has soaked our soil merely for demanding that their voices be heard by those in leadership. All our hearts long for justice for these slain souls.I trust the one who doesn't just call the qualified but who qualifies the called to help me stand with our people until the bitter-sweet end", she said.
LaZwide won the primary elections last weekend and is now expected to contest in the next stage being the secondary elections.
