MBABANE: Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has urged all students across the country to protest within the premises of their schools in support of persecuted SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini.
This comes after William Tsintsibala Dlamini, the National Commissioner of Police summoned the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) for endorsing an order issued by the Commander of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) to shutdown schools.
“We call upon students to protest within the premises of their schools on Monday morning in support of their teachers and SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini,” said the PUDEMO President when speaking to this Swaziland News.
National Commissioner of Police William Dlamini had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini was summoned by the police after he issued an advice to all teachers not to report to work on Monday and Tuesday last week amid security threats.
Dlamini later told this publication that he was communicating a resolution taken by the SNAT Executive Commitee.
