MPISI FARM: “We tried and failed to burn Imbali tent at Mpisi Farm on Wednesday evening after some few disturbances”.
These were the sentiments of the Commander of the Swaziland International International Solidarity Forces(SISF) when speaking to this Swaziland News on Thursday afternoon.
“Sifikile lapha sivunulile sifake simohlwana njenge-Tindvuna letichube tintfombi, siphetse lo-petrol ngalokwe-tindishi tekuphakela kudla.Besetilele letintfombi sasesinyenyeta lonkhe leli-thende ngoba besihamba around senta ngatsi siyadla kantsi sitfontsisa lo-petrol. Ewu, sitsi siyalayida nje, saphatamiseka. Nalama-sotja bekasisita nge-information besangekho(meaning:We arrived there dressed like Tindvuna and poured petrol around the tent but we were disturbed before setting it alight,”said the Commander of the Ground Forces.
The Commander thanked the soldiers who assisted them with the information and strategies adding that this showed that they also wanted liberation.
When asked if he can share the information as a comment, the Commander said he doesn’t have a problem.
“I don’t have a problem, you can publish this story, we will use other strategies in our next operation,” said the Commander.
On another note, William Tsintsibala Dlamini, the National Commissioner of Police warned those who threatened to sabotage Umhlanga that the they would face the full might of the law.
“We are therefore,issuing a warning to those behind the threats to desist from the sabotage and intimidation they are perpetrating. Any criminal elements,which will be found committing acts intended to disturb the cultural ceremony, will be made to face the full might of the law,” said the National Commissioner as quoted by the Times.
Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest after the King unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.
