MBABANE: Mzwakhe Myeni has been fired as a member of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO).
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday, Myeni confirmed that he has been fired from the organization, he labelled SWALIMO President Mduduzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane a dictator.
“It’s true that I have been fired by Magawugawu, he fired me while relaxing and enjoying himself in Canada. You see, if I can be given an opportunity to vote or choose between Magawugawu and Ingwenyama, I can choose the King. That doesn’t mean I will stop fighting for democracy I will continue facing the police and their teargas,” said the SWALIMO Lubombo District Chairperson.
When reached for comment, SWALIMO President Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane referred comments to the Secretary General of the organization.
“If you are talking about that matter, talk to the Secretariat of the movement, they will answer that one,” said the SWALIMO President.
Speaking to this Swaziland News,Gift Dlamini, the SWALIMO Deputy Secretary General confirmed that recommendations have been made to the National Executive Commitee(NEC) about the decision to fire Mzwakhe.
“It is not yet a decision by the NEC but a recommendation from the Disciplinary Commitee”, he said.
