LUDZIDZINI:King Mswati’s children are slowly taking over their official positions as BantfwabeNkhosi, some of the late Sobhuza’s Princes and Princesses and other royal family members were removed from being next to the King.

Prince Masitsela and uMlangeni Prince Magudvulela who used to be next to the King when he addressed the Nation are no longer visible.

Magudvulela, the senior Prince of the Hhohho region was recently banned by Mswati from entering Palaces.

During the official appointment of Chiefs on Wednesday, the King was flanked by his children, Prince Sicalo(senior Prince), Prince Lindani and Prince Majaha among others.

Reached for comments, Princess Dlalisile, the daughter of King Sobhuza said the evidence was there for everyone to see that as Sobhuza’s children, they were removed from being next to the King.

“It’s evident, everyone can see that we were removed from being next to the King. In the eyes of others within the royal family, we(Sobhuza’s children) died with our father, we are no longer recognized,” said the Princess.

Responding to our questionnaire on the subject matter, King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane said his office does not have a record suggesting that Sobhuza’s children were removed from being around the King.

“My office has no record of their  removal from whatever positions they were around the King for when  he addresses the Nation. We therefore elect not to entertain the claim until  we are furnished with evidence of the royal dismissal in question,”said the King’s Spokesperson.
