MAFUTSENI:Barnes Dlamini, the Spokesperson of the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) says last week they managed to officially launched the Mafutseni and Madlangemphisi branches.
“SWADEPA is on a campaign to revamp its local structures and on the past weekend we were launching two branches, one in Mafutseni and the other in Madlangempisi.We still believe that the people, the citizenry must have a voice and say on how they want to transform their own country. We have seen the moves from the state in intensifying their hold on the people by entrenching their hold through the chiefs.The recent blessing of the new so called 50 chiefs by the King, is a tactic to control the people from the local chiefdoms. It is therefore our work as a political party to intensify our call and further help the Nation in capacitating them about the importance of their rights and the responsibilities of the state on its people,” said the SWADEPA Treasurer General who is the Acting Spokesperson.
Dlamini added that SWADEPA would be hosting its elective conference on the 26th November 2022 and as such, they needed to be relevant to the voices of the people on the ground.
