Eswatini signs new diplomatic cooperation agreement with Chinese Province,Taiwan.

TAIPEI: Eswatini has signed a new cooperation agreement with the People’s Republic of China(PRC)province known as Taiwan which is not recognized by the United Nations(UN)as an independent State.

The signing of the agreement comes at the time when both countries are facing tensions, China is intensifying moves to forcefully take over Taiwan while Mswati might be dethroned anytime in the Kingdom of  eSwatini.

Witnessing the signing of the agreement by Foreign Ministers of the two countries this week was King Mswati III and Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen in Taipei, Mswati is in Taipei,Taiwan on a State visit.

“We are also here to give you the assurance of Eswatini’s investment climate. Our objective is to encourage the expansion of existing businesses and increase the rate of new investment projects, while we actively exchange good business and development programme opportunities in the kingdom.In order for the strategic oil reserve to be viable, it has to be supported by an oil refinery that will require no less than 10 million barrels of crude oil per year,” said the King as quoted by eSwatini Government online platforms.

On another note, Her Excellency Tsai Ing-wen, the Taiwan President said the arrival of His Majesty King Mswati in Taiwan to witness the signing of the Cooperation Declaration was a significant commitment  on the partnership which would go a long way to expand the prosperity of both countries.
