MBABANE: HealthMinister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced 16 new COVID 19 cases all from the Manzini region.

In a press statement, the Minister revealed the biggest number of confirmed cases since the first was confirmed identified in the country.

\"A total of 150 results were recieved today, out of which 134 tested negative and 16 were positive for coronavirus. The total number of COVID 19 confirmed cases to date is fifty-six (56). 

This is the biggest jump in new confirmed COVID-19 cases since the first case was confirmed in the country\" reads the statement in part. 

All the confirmed cases are from the Manzini region and are contacts of a previously confirmed case. It should be noted that among them is a 6 year old female who has been identified by the Minister as case number 56,she is the youngest case so far .Manzini is has the highest number of cases, with a total number of 35, followed by Hhohho at 16,Lubombo with 3and lastly Shiselweni with only 2 confirmed cases.
