MBABANE:Advocate Nelson Chamisa, the President of the Coalition Citizens for Change(CCC) says they will win the Presidential election next year adding that Emerson Mnangangwa is not a legitimate President after he allegedly rigged the previous elections.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Wednesday during an interview,the opposition leader said the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front(ZANU-PF) got themselves into Government through the back-door.

“We have a very unpopular party in Government, ZANU-PF who got themselves through the back door in   2018 after we defeated them in the elections. As you are aware that over the past four-five months, we’ve been having by-elections in Zimbabwe.We had twenty-eight(28) vacancies in the Parliamentary elections, we did go to the by-elections and got nineteen(19) out of the twenty-eight(28),” said the Zimbabwean opposition leader.

Efforts to get the ZANU-PF and or the Government Spokesperson proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

The CCC President said even though the military in Zimbabwe had on numerous occasions sabotaged the citizens’ right to vote, they still believed there were men and women in that uniform who respected the Constitution.

“The critical thing is that we have a Constitution, we have a country that is run by laws and the Supreme law of the land gives power to the citizens. All Sovereign authority resides with the citizens, from the Judicial authority,Legislative and even Executive authority. But, we are also conscious of the historical challenges where we had the will of the people being undermined,” said the CCC President.
