MBABANE: Mduduzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane, the President of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) has urged the Nation not to boycott this year’s Gospel Crossover as he has blessed it to take place.

Political activists including the SWALIMO President had earlier advocated for a cultural boycott urging even South African artists not to attend cultural and entertainment events in eSwatini.

But the former Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP)subsequently released a video saying this particular Gospel Crossover must not be boycotted amid the political unrest as it has received blessings from him.

MP Nomalungelo Simelane(LaZwide), a gospel artist and wife to the SWALIMO President is expected to perform during the Crossover.

“Others might decide not to attend because I am not part of this event, I urge the Nation to attend the event because I have blessed it,” said the former MP.

On another note, King Mswati is expected to bless and commission Ingatja(young boys) to cut Lusekwane as part of the ongoing Incwala ceremony.
