HOSEA: Pius Vilakati, the Spokesperson of the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) has confirmed that King Mswati’s police abducted two of their members Mvuselelo Mkhabela and Bongi Mamba.
The political activists were abducted at Mbondweni area, Hosea on Tuesday morning.
“As the Communist Party of Swaziland we demand the unconditional release of our comrades. We view this as one of the intimidation tactics and instilling of fear on the youth of our country,” said the CPS Spokesperson.
A questionnaire was sent to Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
King Mswati has intensified a crackdown on pro-democracy activists, dozens have been killed since the political unrest started in June 2021.
Mvuselelo Mkhabela and Bongi Mamba was abducted by the police.
