MBABANE:Lizzie Nkosi the Minister of Health has urged citizens above 50 years to take precautions as COVID-19 confirmed cases rise rapidly.

This comes after the Minister announced 30 more confirmed cases of the Coronavirus on Thursday, few hours after confirming the death of a 57-year old male during a press conference on Wednesday in Mbabane, the total number of cases now stands at 153.

“The Ministry of Health urges all adults above 50 years of age and patients who have existing medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension and heart conditions to take extra precautions in the prevention of COVID-19”

But the Minister advised the Nation not to be scared with the numbers saying they come after government upscaled testing that was embarked upon this week.

“It is important that today’s results do not scare us. They are a result, in part, of our upscaled testing that we have embarked upon this week, using rapid test kits & also extending the working hours of our testing lab”said the Minister.
