LOBAMBA:Timothy Myeni,the Nkilongo Member of Parliament(MP) says Housing and Urban Development Minister must be arrested for inciting the police and soldiers to be violent against protesting civilians.
Speaking in Parliament on Thursday, the Nkilongo MP said it has become a norm for the Prince to perpetrate violence whenever he opens his mouth.
“When you debate,ubosicabangela sigaba sakho.Kukhona ema-Minister lokufanele angene ejele because they are perpetrating i-violence in the country in the likes of umtfwaneNkhosi Simelane. Whenever he speaks,he is causing violence in the country,” said the MP.
The Nkilongo MP said it was disturbing to note that a whole Minister can urge Government to increase the number of police officers and guns,bullet proofs as a way of dealing with the ongoing political crisis.
Minister Prince Simelane when speaking in Parliament this week urged Government to increase the number of soldiers,police and Correctional Services officers as a way of dealing with the ongoing political crisis.
In May 2021,the Prince urged security forces to fight “fire with fire” when dealing with protestors who were demanding democracy,a month later dozens were killed.
