MBABANE:Busie Mayisela, the President of the Swazis First Democratic Front (SFDF) has, on behalf of the organization,issued a statement, condemning the unlawful conviction of pro-democracy Members of Parliament (MPs) Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
The two MPs were found guilty by Judge Mummcy Dlamini last week on politically motivated terrorism and sedition charges, they were arrested as per an order allegedly issued by King Mswati.
Mswati rules eSwatini as an absolute monarch, with Executive, Judiciary and Legislative powers.
"The Swazis First Democratic Front is deeply saddened if not annoyed by the current demonstration of this inhuman and uncalled-for act of the regime to former Members of Parliament, Cde Bacede Mabuza and Cde Mthandeni Dube by the Swaziland regime. This is against the principles of fair justice and SFDF condenms this evil acts. While the country still remains divided ideologically and politically, SFDF calls upon all concerned Swazis and political parties to fully angage other stakeholders and ensure that justice prevail for the two MPs," reads the statement in part, released by Busie Mayisela, the President of the Swazis First Democratic Front (SFDF).
