MBABANE: Out-going Mbabane Municipality Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Gideon Mhlongo was paid over one-hundred and twenty thousand Rands(R120,000.00) as a salary.
The money was sourced from Mbabane ratepayers, some who are struggling to pay rates due to the high level of poverty in the country.
A questionnaire was sent to the Mbabane CEO, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
According to information sourced from the contract of the CEO, Mhlongo was paid R65,000.00 as a basic salary, car allowance amounting to R23,000.00, a housing allowance of R10,000.00, a gratuity amounting to R13,000.00, entertainment allowance amounting to R2,500.00 and a utilities payment amounting to R5,000.00.
