MBABANE: The COVID-19 patient who died this week as confirmed by Health Minister Lizzie Nkosi spent only a week at the Lubombo Referral Hospital before passing away.
The Minister revealed this through a press statement issued on Monday afternoon where she further clarified that this was the third person to die of COVID-19.
\"The Ministry is sad to announce the death of another COVID 19 patient. The patient who is a third person to die from COVID 19 disease in the country is a 42 year old male from Manzini region who was admitted at Lubombo Referral Hospital on the 22nd May 2020 in a critical condition after being diagnosed with COVID 19.He passed away on the 31stMay 2020 at Lubombo Referral’s intensive care unit\" she said.
The country has also recorded 8 new COVID 19 cases and the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 293 with 194 recoveries.
