MBABANE: Wandile Dludlu, the Deputy President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) says they will lobby for the inclusion of Judges who will manipulate the ongoing terrorism court case involving the political organization, in the list of the looming targeted sanctions.
Addressing PUDEMO supporters outside the Supreme Court this week, during the hearing of Government’s appeal against a High Court judgement in favour of PUDEMO, the Deputy President said the matter was before Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala whom he referred to, as Indvuna yeMcuba.
“The Chief Justice who is Indvuna YeMcuba demonstrated that this case was long decided, as the lawyers addressed the court, he kept on saying ‘next, next’. Any Judge who will manipulate this case, we will lobby for that Judge to be included in the list of the looming sanctions,” said the PUDEMO Deputy President.
PUDEMO has been challenging the Supression of Terrorism Act that was used to declare the political organization as a terrorist entity, the law is manipulated by Mswati and his government to silence dissenting views.
Recently, the same law was used to convict two pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs)Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube, they were found guilty of terrorism merely for demanding democratic reforms inside Parliament.
