MBABANE:His Majesty King Mswati is highly expected to host Heads of State of the Southern African Customs Union(SACU) on the 29th June 2023.
Reached for comments Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson confirmed that eSwatini will host 8th SACU Summit next week, adding that preparations were underway.
“Yes,there is a build-up to that effect in Eswatini already,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
King Mswati is the current Chairperson of the Southern African Custom Union(SACU) and according to a document seen by this Swaziland News, he will host the Heads of State at Mandvulo Grand Hall.
SACU leaders who are expected to attend the Summit to be Chaired by the King, include South African President Cyril Ramaphosa,Botswana President Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, Lesotho Prime Minister Sam Matekane and Namibian President Hage Geingob.
