MANZINI: Thembinkosi Dlamini, the Executive Director of the Coordinating Assembly of Non-governmental Organizations(CANGO) says the looming targeted sanctions against high profile individuals violating human rights in the country, will be painful but worth-it in the journey to democracy.
Speaking on Friday during the candlelight service held at Caritas-Manzini, in remembrance of the dozens of civilians allegedly killed by Mswati’s security forces, the CANGO Director said United States(US) Senator Christopher Coons was working tirelessly to ensure that sanctions are imposed on those violating human rights in eSwatini.
“It’s painful to be sanctioned but the journey to democracy must pass through that route, so that the family that is holding this country hostage can realize that it’s time to handover power to the people,” said the CANGO Director.
