PRETORIA:Sakhile ‘Awviva’ Nxumalo, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Youth League, the Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO) was engaged in a fight with some members of the SWAYOCO breakaway faction.
This was during the delivery of a petition at the Pretoria South African Police Service(SAPS) Headquarters, against the kidnapping of Thabo Kunene, the alleged Commander of the Solidarity Forces.
Nxumalo addressed the gathering and informed the political activists that, they must not get confused as there was only one SWAYOCO and that, it’s the Youth League of PUDEMO.
“SWAYOCO remains the Youth League of PUDEMO and, there’s no SWAYOCO that exist outside of PUDEMO,” he said.
But after Nxumalo delivered his speech, some members of the breakaway faction felt he was undermining them with his sentiments.
“He must not undermine us”, said one member of the breakaway faction as he walked towards the stage to grab Nxumalo.
But the PUDEMO Youth League President then responded that, he was not afraid of any member of the breakaway faction hence, a disagreement erupted.
The program continued after Bongnkosi ‘IB’ Dlamini, the Convenor of the United Eswatini Diaspora(UED) calmed down both political activists.
