MBABANE: Eswatini patients left their hospital beds this week, joined nurses in a protest in demand for drugs within the government hospitals.

The Mbabane Government health workers delivered a petition on Thursday to the Ministry of Health(MoH) as part of the ongoing campaign to create awareness regarding the health crisis.

A questionnaire was sent to Dr Simon Zwane, the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Health, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Reached for comments, Mayibongwe Masangane, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union (SWADNU) said the problem was worsening rather than improving.

"As a union, we condemn the act of government in contempt and the nation must act in its various localities to force the government to respond to the crisis," said the Secretary General.
