VOTE FOR A WOMAN: SWAGAA Director Nonhlanhla Dlamini once shook Parliament as an MP demanding an investigation into lawyers’ alleged fraud but,Judge Mlangeni interfered.

Friday, 7th July, 2023

Whenever we advocate for women to hold powerful positions like in Parliament, we are not opening gateway for corrupt men to grab their wives from the kitchen and, campaign for them to hold Parliament seats.

The “vote for women” campaign should be based on skills, competency and vibrancy among others, not beauty, fame or good looks, all women are beautiful after all.

Nonhlanhla Dlamini, the then Ludzeludze Member of Parliament(MP) once moved a motion in Parliament, seeking to investigate alleged fraud by lawyers amid public complaints but,Judge Titus Mlangeni, the then Law Society President ran to court to stop the investigation.

That motion shook the foundations of the Judiciary, even Judges knew that they might be exposed for the alleged fraud they allegedly committed while they were working as lawyers.

But, while we endeavor to see women in positions of authority, we must guard against abuse of such campaigns; where even men will manipulate our minds campaigning for their wives with the sole intention of putting food on the table by benefiting from public funds.

We want to shape a country here and introduce good governance, we are not shaping stomachs.

Even Mswati’s daughter Princess Sikhanyiso, the Information Minister was far better than some of the women who were elected into the current Parliament, they must be voted-out.

Women were assaulted by soldiers during the political unrest and videos were circulating, no single woman MP raised that atrocity inside Parliament.

Therefore, women who hold positions of authority must never think we will be soft on them just because they are women, as the media, we will treat them equally with men and criticize them.

Any woman who is sensitive to public or media criticism, must remain in the kitchen and stay away from public office.
