MBABANE: Maxwell Jele, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association(EOCGA) sent his son to fly to South Korea for an international camp, ahead of the World Youth Olympics Games next year.

But the CEO failed to respond or answer a simple question from this Swaziland News, how his son who is expected to benefit through allowances, qualified to be selected for the camp.

The CEO’s son travelled together with Malik McNamara and EOCGA Board member Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini.

Reached for comments, Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini who is in South Korea with the CEO’s son and Malik MacNamara said, the only person mandated to speak to the media about this issue was the CEO Maxwell Jele.

“The only person mandated to speak to the media about issues of the Olympic Games is the CEO, I would be committing an offense if I can comment about it,” said the EOCGA Board member.

Jele, the then CEO of the Eswatini National Youth Council, was once found guilty of fraud by a disciplinary tribunal in that, he allegedly advanced himself money belonging to the organization among other charges.

The disciplinary action, came after the CEO was suspended by the Board of Directors led by Attorney General(AG) Sifiso Khumalo, the then Youth Council Chairperson.
