MBABANE: A detailed questionnaire directed to King Mswati,with regards to the highly anticipated political dialogue and other national issues, has been rejected by the absolute Monarch.
The questionnaire that was addressed directly to the King, was seeking answers regarding political dialogue,land grabbing from orphans and widows in the rural areas in his name, and the corruption in government, among other issues.It was sent on the 1st July 2023, via the office of the King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane, who informed this editor that,he will first consult with the King regarding the questionnaire.
But on Monday, the Spokesperson informed this editor that the request to have the King respond to the detailed questionnaire was not successful.
“Be kindly informed that your request to have His Majesty the King responding to your questionnaire has not been successful.Was off-line during the better part of the day because I am out of Eswatini,thus the delay in hooking on you today,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
