MBABANE: Barnes Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) has, applauded the Secretary General of the African National Congress(ANC) Fikile Mbalula for adding a voice, calling for democracy in the Kingdom of eSwatini.
The country is ruled by Mswati as an absolute Monarch, political parties are banned from participating in elections, human rights defenders are killed for demanding democratic reforms.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Thursday, the SWADEPA President said, Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo can attack the ANC Secretary General but, as the pro-democracy movement, they support his political sentiments.
Nxumalo had described Fikile Mbalula,the ANC Secretary General, as a confused man for concluding that the Kingdom of eSwatini was not democratic.
“Attack him all you want but we are fully behind and welcome the support from the ANC Secretary, a a respectable and credible revolutionary movement.We say Bravo cde SG.On another note, they can lobby the US senators but we shall continue our international wor and lobby truthfully the US politicians on the fate of the swazis,” said the SWADEPA.
