MBABANE: Sibusiso Mabhanisi Dlamini, the former and aspiring Kwaluseni Member of Parliament(MP) says, residents of Nkilongo never mandated their disqualified ex-MP Timothy Myeni to demand democracy in Parliament but, they wanted development.
Commenting on his Umhlambanyatsi campaign WhatsApp group on Wednesday, the ex-Kwaluseni MP who falsely testified against incarcerated former MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube said, Myeni was restricted by the law to contest at Lubulini.
“Inkinga lenkhulu laba base Nkilongo bekakutsatsephi loko bekakusho ePhalamende kwe Democracy because bona bebamtfume intfutfuko yabo(meaning: The people of Nkilongo were wondering who mandated him to speak about democracy in Parliament because they wanted development)”, said the ex-Kwaluseni MP.
Mabhanisi who was ‘boed’ by voters after being nominated last weekend, did not respond when asked by this Swaziland News to comment regarding the Whatsap messages mocking Myeni.
Reached for comments, former Nkilongo MP Timothy Myeni said, he was busy with counseling sessions and promised to comment later regarding the ex-Kwaluseni MP’s sentiments,
“I am currently busy with counseling sessions, will comment later,” said the former Nkilongo MP.
Myeni was disqualified by the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC) after he attempted to stand for elections at Lubulini, he was told to contest at Nkilongo.
