PIGG’S PEAK:Pigg’s Peak residents protested on Friday demanding drugs within the government hospital.

This is part of the ongoing campaign by the Swaziland United Democratic Front(SUDF) that seeks to force government to provide drugs in public hospitals.

A questionnaire was sent to Health Minister Lizzie Nkosi, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, Lucky Dlamini, the Chairperson of the Swaziland United Democratic Front(SUDF) said as a coalition of pro-democracy groups, they “are still pushing” the campaign seeking to force government to provide drugs in public hospitals.

“We are demanding that government must provide drugs in public hospitals. Very soon, the country will be celebrating independence but, it seems there is no independence with people dying in hospitals. We have a government that is disregarding the interests of the people and prioritize the royal family. The public must get ready for more more protests, the Minister visited Mbabane Government Hospital and asked the patients to be patient, ukhona umuntfu longabeketelela kugula abe afa?”, said the Chairperson of the Swaziland United Democratic Front(SUDF) when interviewed by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
