MBABANE: Thamsanqa Hlatswako, the Head of Secretariat of the Political Parties Assembly(PPA) has invited the Nation to participate in protest march to deliver a petition at the offices of the Human Rights Commission.
Eswatini is facing a health crisis after King Mswati’s government deliberately neglected public hospitals resulting to the death of hundreds of patients.
In a public statement sent to this Swaziland News on Sunday evening, the PPA Head of Secretariat said, the protest is scheduled take place on Wednesday, the 02 August 2023, has been organized by the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union(SWADNU) and the Swaziland United Democratic Front(SUDF)
“We the,PPA,are calling on the nation, progressive movement, civil society,church and unions to join the petition delivery to Eswatini Commission on Human Rights and Public Administration Mbabane Office Park,Sibekelo Building next to Hilton Garden Inn, starting at 10:00AM on Wednesday 2nd August 2023.The activity is led by SWADNU in partnership with SUDF and the Mass Democratic Movement, in protest against the continued death of our children, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and grandparents due to the failed Tinkhudla governance to provide medical drugs for patients in hospitals.This is an issue of life and death and this regime reacts to action only.Let’s all play our part and demand full dignity of our fellow citizens.Every life counts,” reads the statement in part.
