Times Director Paul Loffler wishes editor Welcome Dlamini success in elections, says he will become the advocate of media and society in Parliament.

MBABANE:Paul Loffler, the Director of the Times of eSwatini has wished his employee and editor Welcome Dlamini success in the elections, urging him to become the advocate of the media and society inside Parliament.

Responding to a questionnaire from this Swaziland News on Tuesday afternoon, the owner of eSwatini’s giant newspaper said, by standing for the elections, the editor demonstrated a desire to grow outside his comfort zone and contribute positively, to the ultimate growth of the country.

“Welcome has taken the liberty to challenge himself to grow outside his comfort zone, which we believe is driven by a desire to contribute to positive change and the ultimate growth of the country.This is essentially what we are about as a media house and have no doubt he will be a good advocate for the media and society in general when he gets to Parliament. We, therefore, would like to wish him all the success on this journey,” said the Director of the Times of eSwatini.

Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Journalists (SNAJ), is highly expected to become a Member of Parliament(MP) next month, he was recently nominated by popular demand at Mbabane East.

Hundreds including the youth and elderly celebrated shortly after the editor accepted the nomination.
