MANZINI:Ourmar Sylla, the Africa Regional Director for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), visited the Manzini Market and Mkhosi Township on Tuesday.
Manzini is eSwatini’s second largest city and hub, it is situated about ten(10) kilometers from the densely populated Matsapha Industrial town.
The Director is in the country on a three(3)day official visit to facilitate among others, possible ways of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), he also visited Ngwenya, Mbabane, Ezulwini, Malkerns and Matsapha Towns.
The UN has pledged to assist the Kingdom of eSwatini in developing policies that seek to ensure socially and environmental friendly sustainable towns, this was disclosed by the UN Eswatini through a press statement sent to this Swaziland News on Monday afternoon.
