SIKHUPHE: King Mswati left the country on Wednesday to attend the Southern African Development Community(SADC) Summit in Angola.
The Summit is expected to discuss, among others, the political crisis in the Kingdom of eSwatini.
Mswati allegedly delayed a political dialogue saying the situation was not conducive, however, the absolute Monarch subsequently imposed the Tinkhundla undemocratic elections and went to imprison political activists who were against the elections particularly, members of the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS).
The political crisis in eSwatini reached the ‘boiling point’ after the shooting and killing of dozens of civilians allegedly, by Mswati’s security forces merely for demanding democracy, the international community including SADC and human rights organizations have been calling for an all inclusive political dialogue.
