MBABANE: Nkhosingiphile Seyama, the Secretary General (SG) of the Swazis First Democratic Front (SFDF) has, on behalf of the political organization, released a statement condemning the dismissal of SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini.
SNAT stands for the Swaziland National Association of Teachers, it's President has been expelled by the royal controlled Teaching Service Commission (TSC) merely for representing teachers, Dlamini was charged with absenteeism and subsequently found guilty without a disciplinary hearing.
“The National Executive Committee and members of the Swazis First Democratic Front (SFDF) has learnt with utter dismay that the President of SNAT Comrade Mbongwa Dlamini has been expelled by Teaching Service Commission (TSC). The SFDF recalls that the onslaught on the President of SNAT dates back to 2018 when he assumed office, he was subsequently charged and suspended for two years without being found guilty of any charges levelled against him. The SFDF calls upon all Swazis, in particular workers to stand with President Mbongwa and the SNAT as we dust our revolutionary regalia to get ready for the battle that government is wedging,” reads the statement in part released by the SFDF Secretary General.
