LOZITHA: King Mswati has warmly welcomed visiting Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, Government online platforms reported on Tuesday.
The President who is here for the 55-55 King’s Birthday and Independence Day Double Celebration, signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the King on behalf of the two countries.
“The two Heads of State have further signed three MoUs aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries. The signed MoUs are on the Women's Business Start Up Microfinancing Revolving Fund, the Sister City Agreement between Kaohsiung City (Taiwanand Mbabane Municipality (Eswatini) and the MoU on cooperation between overseas Investment & Development Corp, Taiwan and the Eswatini Petroleum Company”, reads the Government online report.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, King Mswati said, his wish was to see these agreements bearing tangible fruits for the development and prosperity of all emaSwati.
