MPUMALANGA:Lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu, the Chairperson of the eSwatini pro-democracy MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF) says, the collective leadership of the Political Parties Assembly(PPA) must work towards ushering the country into a new democratic order.

The MSF Chairperson was addressing leaders of political parties during the PPA General Assembly held in Mpumalanga, South Africa on Saturday.

“It is this leadership collective herein present before me that must usher in a democratic order in Swaziland, anchored in a Constitution that guarantees the sacred rights of every citizen and liberalises the political space and thus ensuring the introduction of a multi-party electoral system in our country.Having recently assumed the Chairmanship of the Multi Stakeholder

Forum, of which you are a part, the enormity of the task that lies ahead of us has not been lost to me. I have in humility submitted myself to the collective wisdom of those who elected me. In doing so, I have been mindful of the hope and trust bestowed on me by the leadership collective that I lead and I pledge not to betray your trust, neither will I sell-out to the enemies of our democratic revolution, who are hell bent on ensuring that the status quo is undisturbed and that the patronage networks which benefit from the corrupt Tinkhundla system of Government, at the expense of our suffering masses, continues to thrive in a sea of poverty and destitution,” said the MSF Chairperson.

Political organizations represented during the General Assembly include the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA), Sive Siyinqaba, the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC), the Swaziland First Democratic Front(SFDF) and the Swaziland People’s Liberation Movement(SPLM).
