Monday, 25th September, 2023

MANZINI: Stan Simelane, the Secretary General (SG) of the National Workers Union of Swaziland Higher Institutions (NAWUSHI) says, the Southern Africa Nazarene University (SANU) is struggling financially and as a result, Lecturers have not received their September 2023 salaries.

Dr Faith Mngomezulu-Mlotsa, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of SANU had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday morning, Simelane said, the Lecturers of the University were struggling  with debts while Management complains lack of financial support from the government.

“SANU is struggling financially, the Management is saying the funds they are receiving from Government they are not enough to run the University. Lecturers are drowning in debts. We are following the matter. We will meet the Management this week over the issue of delayed salaries," said the NAWUSHI Secretary General.
