MBABANE: Eswatini’s Tinkhundla elections are not democratic, Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of this Swaziland News told Power FM, a South African radio station station on Tuesday morning.
“We cannot entirely claim there’s an importance of these elections because as you have just mentioned, eSwatini is ruled by an absolute, political parties are banned from participating in elections and all Executive, Judicial and Legislative powers are vested upon the King”, said the editor who was interviewed on Tuesday morning.
The editor said, those who are elected are then expected to submit to the authority of the King and they cannot pass a single without the influence of the Monarch.
