MBABANE: “Political parties are banned in eSwatini and Parliament does not have the powers to hold the Executive including the Monarchy accountable”, Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of this Swaziland News told the British Broadcasting Corporation(BBC) on Friday morning.
The BBC reported that, King Mswati also appoints the Cabinet,Prime Minister and Judges, approves laws proposed by Parliament and commands all of Eswatini's security forces.
The editor was interviewed to share his views with regards to the Parliamentary elections taking place in eSwatini.
"Even if they got elected into parliament, they do not have the power to hold the executive accountable, including the absolute monarchy," Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of Swaziland News, told the BBC's Newsday programme.
