NHLANGANO: Linda Nxumalo, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Eswatini Tourism Authority(ETA) is allegedly campaigning to become a Senator in the new Parliament.
It has been disclosed that, Nxumalo's name was discussed during a meeting for Shiselweni Members of Parliament(MPs) on Tuesday afternoon, the meeting was held at Nhlangano Casino.
Other names discussed during the meeting include that of former Health Ministers Lizzie Nkosi and Sibongile Ndlela-Simelane, former Education Minister Lady Howard-Mabuza and another woman identified as Fezile whose campaign agent is former Senator Ndumiso Mdluli, some of the women are campaigning to be elected as Regional MPs.
Reached for comments, the Tourism CEO said she was not aware what the MPs were discussing.
“I am not aware of what they were discussing, ngicela kunga-commenthi, ngicela kungasho lutfo”, she said.
On another note, Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza, the former Minister of Agriculture and elected Pigg’s Peak Member of Parliament(MP) is allegedly campaigning to become the Speaker, his name was also discussed during the meeting.
Efforts to reach Mabuza proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
MPs are highly expected to elect ten(10) Senators and the Speaker in the next coming days.
