MBABANE: Nomkhosi Masuku,the newly elected Ludzeludze Member of Parliament(MP) allegedly rejected one hundred thousand Rands(R100,000.00) bribe in the recent race to Senate saying,she will seek guidance from Labadzala on who to vote for.
The disclosed amount,was offered to the MP on two(2)separate occasions,at first she was allegedly offered fifty thousand Rands(R50,000.00), another aspiring Senator came with a separate offer of the same amount.
It has been disclosed that,after rejecting the bribe, some of the aspiring Senators approached prominent Women Rights leaders and asked them to convince MP Masuku to take the money and the information was leaked in the process of lobbying.
“Lo-Ludzeludze MP uvele wayala lemali watsi utova ngaLabadzala kutsi avotele bani,ngoba akabati bonkhe labantfu timilo tabo lamfundekela ngemali. Uboshayela Sive lomtfwanakhe nguye lowati konkhe(meaning: The Ludzeludze MP rejected the money saying she will seek advice from elders. You can verify from Sive, her son,he knows everything that was happening”, said the insider within one of the Women Rights Organization.
Reached for comments, Sive Masuku,the son to the MP who also acts as her Spokesperson confirmed that, his mother was offered huge amounts of money but she rejected the bribes.
“What I can confirm to you is that,she was offered money but I can’t disclose the amount and the names of those who offered the bribes because that would mean I am now doing what you are suppose to do as a journalist, dig information utatitfolela lokunye.I can also confirm that I’m her Spokesperson and was handling all campaigns so I’m commenting on her behalf.This thing of politics Nkhosi is dirty,imagine two(2) days ago, bewute imali you are campaigning uhle uphelelwa bo-petrol, once you win,it’s a scramble, people come with large sums of money asking for Senate votes, everything yenteka fast. On the issue of seeking guidance from Labadzala,I may not be aware who she was referring to, maybe she was referring to the elders of the family”, said the Spokesperson of the Ludzeludze MP.
On another note, the Spokesperson of the Ludzeludze MP urged this journalist to do his job and investigate names of those who offered the bribe to the Ludzeludze MP and independently expose.
“You approached me for a comment and I have confirmed to you that yes,the bribe was offered and rejected.As a journalist,it’s now your duty to investigate the names and the amount,I won’t give you everything.I feel like you capable of getting it yourself. Kodvwa-ke vele imali sayibonga lakhaya, we rejected it”, he said.

Ludzeludze MP Nomkhosi Masuku rejected R100,000.00 bribe in the race to Senate, saying Labadzala will advise on honest candidate to be voted for.
