MBABANE: “The shortage of drugs in public hospitals should not be politicized and turned into a political playing ground," Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo tells Lucky Dlamini, the Chairperson of the Swaziland United Democratic Front(SUDF).

This comes after Dlamini accused the Government Spokesperson of playing Public Relations(PR) stunt by claiming that, the shortage of drugs in public hospitals was being addressed, this was disclosed in a statement sent to this Swaziland News on Thursday morning.

“This country has been sustained by lies, the Government Spokesperson is playing a Public Relations stunt. There are still no drugs in public hospitals. The Government is even failing to release the drugs investigation report to the public.Nxumalo is a pathetic liar," said the SUDF Chairperson.

But Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo when responding to this Swaziland News regarding Dlamini’s sentiments said, government was not answerable to illegitimate political formations whose political initiative and energy has already been worn-out by the recent resounding elections in the country.

“The drug shortage situation in the country has somehow become a political rallying point for them. It will really take them time to realize that the drug situation has been normalised in the country. Anyway, government is not answerable to the illegitimate political formations  whose political initiative and energy has already been worn-out by the recent resounding elections in the country. They are all in political coma; hence they don't see anything, not even what Stevy Wonder can see from far. Government's attitude is that health care for the nation is no political playground for anyone," said the Government Spokesperson when responding to the sentiments of the SUDF Chairperson.
